City of Mableton 2025 Municipal Election


The City of Mableton is holding elections for city council on November 4. To help connect the public with candidates in municipal races, the Cobb County Democratic Committee has reviewed candidates whose values align with ours and is recommending select individuals. All candidates on this page were invited to complete a questionnaire, and responses are shared where available.


Key Election Dates

  • Early Voting: October 14–31, 2025
  • Election Day: November 4, 2025
  • Runoff (if needed): December 2, 2025

Early voting includes two Saturdays and one Sunday.

An (I) next to a name signifies an incumbent.

Michael McNeely

City Council District 2


Michael McNeely, a longtime public servant with over 30 years in public safety and leadership, is running for Mableton City Council District 2 to strengthen community partnerships and promote responsible growth. With a background in law enforcement, the military, and state government, he brings deep experience in managing large teams, budgets, and public programs. His priorities include smart redevelopment, enhanced public safety, youth and veteran initiatives, and fiscal transparency. McNeely emphasizes fairness, equity, and accountability through consistent communication, town halls, and resident engagement. Guided by integrity and community service, he seeks to build a safer, more connected, and more inclusive Mableton where every resident’s voice matters.

Cassandra Brown

City Council District 4


Cassandra Brown brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in the IT industry and now serves as Development Director for a nonprofit supporting students without mothers. Her upbringing in a hardworking, service-oriented family instilled in her a belief in education, community, and collective progress. She is running for Mableton City Council to help revitalize the city through efficient governance, responsible development, and stronger community connections. Brown’s priorities include transparent decision-making, smart land use, revitalizing Veterans Memorial Highway, and ensuring accessibility for residents with disabilities. Guided by fairness, collaboration, and integrity, she aims to make Mableton a thriving, inclusive city where residents can live, work, and grow together.
