Leadership is proven through action, and Shawn Harris has consistently shown that he is prepared for this moment by showing up, doing the work, and standing with the community he will represent.
Following a democratic and transparent endorsement process the CCDC’s executive board and its voting members voted to endorse Shawn Harris because complacency is no longer an option. Silence is no longer acceptable. The stakes are too high. Our communities need leaders who will confront extremism, defend democracy without apology, and govern with people not politics at the center.
History will judge how we respond at this moment. Shawn Harris has demonstrated the moral clarity and resolve required to meet this crisis and to fight for justice, equity, and opportunity for all.
